The Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism Financing course aims to assist in the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing. This short course examines the motivations behind money laundering and financing of terrorism and the sources of money laundering. You will explores the effect these activities have on people before defining the terms and examine means of identifying and acting upon suspect transactions including high risk customers. Understand the relevant regulatory regime, including the obligations a finance or mortgage broker has with respect to them and related offences. You will be able to gain knowledge about the need to be aware of suspicious matters and to report them. The identification and verification procedure explored includes individuals and trusts. *This course is suitable for Mortgage Brokers or individuals who require AML knowledge for the purpose of CPD within their Financial Services role and it meets the AML 3 Anti Money Laundering- Counter Terrorism requirement for membership into the FBAA (Finance Broking Association of Australia). This course does not award accredited units of competency, as it is a knowledge based course only.
